Raipur: Historic start of 7 sports academies simultaneously in Chhattisgarh

Raipur 25 September 2021. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today made a historic start of seven sports academies for the players of the state. Out of these, 4 sports academies in Bilaspur and 3 in Raipur were duly started today. Hockey, Archery, Athletics and Kabaddi Academy was inaugurated in Bilaspur and Archery, Girls Football and Boys-Girls Athletics Academy in Raipur. Giving a big gift to the players of the state through a virtual program organized at his residence office here today, Chief Minister Shri Baghel inaugurated new sports facilities in Bilaspur and Raipur costing about Rs 42 crore 14 lakh and performed Bhoomi Pujan.

Boarding and Kabaddi (Girls) Academy of Hockey, Archery, Athletics in Bilaspur and Day Boarding Academy of Archery, Football (Girls) and Athletics (Boys-Girls) in Raipur is 370 seats, in which 180 boarding seats and 190 days. – Boarding seat is included. The Chief Minister paid tribute to the late B.R. of Bilaspur. 400 meter synthetic athletics track and field at Yadav State Sports Complex constructed at a cost of Rs. 9.20 crore, 50 seater sports hostel for boys constructed at a cost of Rs 2.82 crore, 100 seater sports hostel for girls constructed at a cost of Rs 4.75 crore and 4.47 crore Inaugurated the administrative building constructed at a cost of Rs. On this occasion, he inaugurated Kabaddi Indoor Hall in Bilaspur at a cost of Rs.4 crore 94 lakh. Laid the foundation stone for the installation of flood lights along with the construction of gallery and pavilion of Astroturf Hockey Stadium at a cost of Rs.15 crore 96 lakh. The Chief Minister also inaugurated Late Shri Koduram Verma Smriti Archery Training Academy in the premises of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Hockey Stadium, Raipur, Football Academy for girls in Swami Vivekananda Stadium Complex Kota and Athletics Academy for boys and girls.
