Raipur, 18 September 2021. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel paid floral tributes to Barrister Thakur Chhedilal on his death anniversary by paying floral tributes to him at his residence office here today.
Recalling the contribution of Barrister Chhedilal, Shri Baghel said that he has been instrumental in inculcating the feeling of nationalism among the youth and connecting them with the freedom movements. He received higher education in law, but he also played an important role in the non-cooperation movement and civil disobedience movement, leaving advocacy on the call of Mahatma Gandhi.
The Chief Minister said that Thakur Chhedilal ji was rich in versatility. He was an accomplished writer, journalist, musician, hardworking leader and a true fighter of the freedom struggle. He was also a member of the Constituent Assembly. To spread awareness in Bilaspur region, he made innovative use of National Ramayana from the stage of Ramlila. His contribution to the society will always be remembered.
