Raipur, 10 September 2021. A courtesy call on Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel at his residence office here this evening by a delegation led by Mr. Harakh Malu, President, Raipur Sarafa Association. The delegation felicitated the Chief Minister by presenting him a shawl and shriphal on the commencement of the Gems and Jewelery three-year course at Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla University from the current academic session.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel while discussing with the delegation said that the Chhattisgarh government is committed to skill development and providing better employment opportunities to the youth. In this context, the introduction of Gems and Jewelery course in Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla University, Raipur will upgrade the skills of the youth and will also open up the avenues of self-employment for them. Simultaneously, Chhattisgarh will emerge as a hub of cutting and polishing of games and jewelry in the country and the world.
On this occasion, the President of the Association, Mr. Malu told Chief Minister Mr. Baghel that the demand for starting Gems and Jewelery course was being made here for a long time, which has been fulfilled by the Government of Chhattisgarh. Presently this course is being run in the country only in Surat and Mumbai. With this initiative of the government, Chhattisgarh will get a new identity in the field of gems and jewellery. During the meeting with the Chief Minister, the delegation included Shri Laxmi Narayan Lahoti, Shri Prahlad Soni and Shri Pramit Niyogi.
