Mahasamund 30 August 2021. Collector Mr. Doman Singh on Saturday reviewed the district level functioning of the departments related to agriculture. He inquired about the sale of vermi along with the cow dung and made vermi compost in the cowsheds. He said that Gothans should be developed into more multi-useful and multi-purpose workplaces as per the intention of the government. This will increase more employment opportunities. Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat Mr. Akash Chhikara, Deputy Collector Dr. Neha Kapoor, Deputy Director Agriculture, Mr. SR Dongre, including Livestock, Civil Supplies Corporation, Cooperative, KVK, Horticulture officers were present in the meeting. All the district CEOs and concerned officers of the district joined through video conferencing. The collector asked everyone in turn about the preparations for the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana.
Collector Shri Singh said that Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana is starting from 1st September. All necessary preparations should be completed in time. To take the application, the employees of the Gram Panchayats should be present in the office on time and ensure that the online entry of the received applications is done. CEO Zilla Panchayat Mr. Chhikara told about the progress of Godhan Nyay Yojana so far through computer based presentation.
Collector Shri Singh said that various schemes have been started in Chhattisgarh to encourage farmers to take other crops instead of paddy and plantation. The officials of the Agriculture Department should provide all possible help to the farmers of the district and solve their problems. During the review, he asked the farmers to encourage the use of useful vermicompost and super compost made through Gauthan and said that the dependence of chemical fertilizers like DAP and urea etc. can also be reduced. He also inquired about the distribution of seeds and fertilizers for agriculture, crops and crops in the current Kharif season. He asked to keep adequate storage of fertilizers and seeds. He did a massive tree plantation program, stopped campaign, He inquired about the action plan to clear the encroached land for pasture in the villages and to plant improved varieties of fodder Napier Grass in it. The Collector gave instructions to make pastures in more Gauthans and to plant good quality fodder in them.
