Union Tribal Minister Shri Arjun Munda said that the Trifood Park of Babu Semra in Bastar district would be established as a model food park in the whole country. Which, apart from making the name of Bastar known to the whole country and the world due to its high quality products, will become an important center for providing self-employment. The views of this effect were expressed by the Union Minister Shri Munda in the Van Dhan Sammelan 2021 program of TRIFED held at Food Park, Semra today.
Minister Shri Munda said that Trifood is going to realize its concept as the only Minor Forest Produce Produce Center in the state. This production center will become the main center of the state. Through this, a large number of forest produce products will be available in the market. Through Trifood, refined products of minor forest produce, ethnic products, handicrafts, handlooms, organic food supplements, etc. will be presented. Through TRIFED, forest produce based value added products will get a better place in the national and international market. Shri Munda said that at the time of introduction of TRIFED, 7 products were fixed MSP, at present MSP for more than 50 products has been fixed. On this occasion, he lauded the works of District Administration and Collector Mr. Rajat Bansal for setting up this excellent food park in a very short span.
Member of Parliament Shri Deepak Baij said in the program that Bastar is famous all over the country due to its glorious cultural heritage and valuable forest wealth. Base precious and valuable forest produce like Char Chironji, Tora are available here. Arrangements have been made by the state government to buy forest produce and forest products from the homes of the collectors. So that the collectors can get proper price for these products as well as marketing facility to them. On this occasion, Mr. Praveer Krishna, Managing Director, TRIFED, while giving information about the functions and objectives of TRIFED said that this food park of Babu Semra will become a role model for the whole country.
The program was attended by Managing Director Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce Shri Sanjay Shukla, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Shri D Anand Babu, Commissioner Shri GR Churendra, CCF Shri Mohammad Shaheed, Collector Shri Rajat Bansal, Senior Superintendent of Police Shri Jitendra Meena, Forest Divisional Officer Stylo Mandavi, CEO District Panchayat Richa Prakash Chaudhary along with other officials and public representatives were present.
Union Minister Shri Munda praised Bastariya products
Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Shri Arjun Munda visited the exhibition of Bastariya products in the stall set up at Semra TRIFED and appreciated the products here. He has done processing of tamarind, cashew, oily seed, musli and mahua by women of self-help groups associated with Van Dhan Vikas Samiti, as well as local cuisine of Garh Kaleva, handicrafts of Shabari established by Handicrafts Development Board, Bastar Kalagudi artifacts, sericulture. , Harihar Bastar products, Tribes India products, Bastar Papaya, Bastar Coffee, Bamboo Art Center and Handloom products.
Van Dhan Vikas Kendras got respect
In the Van Dhan Sammelan 2021 organized by TRIFED, Union Minister Shri Arjun Munda introduced the Van Dhan Vikas Kendras in 5 categories, the scale of operation, the maximum sale of the product, the category of value-added items, the purchase and marketing of innovations on the support price under the MFP scheme and Awarded on the basis of creative idea. Award was given to Van Dhan Kendra Kurundi, Bakwand, Ghotia and Dhuragaon from Bastar district of Chhattisgarh state. Apart from this, Van Dhan Kendra Kadena Dharamjaigarh, Van Dhan Kendra Gariaband, Van Dhan Kendra Donganala Katghora, Van Dhan Kendra Baroda Baloda Bazar, Van Dhan Kendra Kaurinbhata Rajnandgaon, Van Dhan Kendra Dugli Dhamtari, Van Dhan Kendra Narayanpur, Van Dhan Kendra Panchakki Jashpur Awards were also given in various categories.
Talented students honored
Talented students of Prayas Residential School, Jagdalpur and Children’s Sports Complex Dharampura were felicitated by the Union Minister for Tribal Affairs, Shri Arjun Munda in the program of TRIFED. In which Dikesh Kumar, a talented student of Prayas residential school, passed the engineering entrance examination and passed the IIT Kharagpur, Mohendra Dewan and Anuram medical entrance examination and is studying in Sims Medical College, Bilaspur. Similarly, Arjun Karma, a student of the Children’s Sports Complex, Dharampura, won the gold medal in the National School Sports Competition in the year 2018-19 and Padam Kashyap in the National School Sports Competition in the year 2017-18.
National award winning Eklavya Vidyalaya teacher Pramod Shukla, mountaineer Naina Dhakad, tourism committee for improving livelihood through home stay and farmers holding CFRR land registration were also honored in the program. After the program, the Union Minister took a meeting of the officials in the conference hall located at TRIFED Food Park.
