Raipur, 26 August 2021. Parliamentary Secretary and Samari MLA Shri Chintamani Maharaj had a courtesy call on Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel at his residence here today. He told the Chief Minister that on August 23, the birthday of his popular Chief Minister was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the Pahari Korwas of Surlungdih Akhinkona located in the remote and once Naxal-affected Gram Panchayat Sabag of Kusmi block. He said that for the first time after 74 years of independence, the birthday of the Chief Minister of the state was celebrated in this village by cutting a cake with the Pahari Korwa tribals. Local Sarpanch Mrs. Kailasho Nagesia along with villagers and officials were also present on this occasion.
Shri Chintamani Maharaj also told the Chief Minister that the Pahari Korwa tribesmen have sent arrows and bows as a birthday present. Shri Chintamani Maharaj presented the arrow and bow sent by him as a gift to the Chief Minister. Dongargaon MLA Shri Daleshwar Sahu was also present at the Chief Minister’s residence on this occasion.
On the occasion of the Chief Minister’s birthday, Parliamentary Secretary Shri Chintamani Maharaj reached the Korwa Basti of village Sabag and offered prayers at the deity’s place located at Surlungdih Akhinkona and along with all the people wished for the long and healthy life of Chief Minister Shri Baghel. In the village, Pahari Korwa tribals celebrated the birthday of the Chief Minister by cutting cakes with villagers and children in traditional costumes and danced to the tune of traditional musical instruments.
