Raipur: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel gifted four new districts and 18 new tehsils to the people of the state.

Raipur, 15 August 2021. Taking forward his promise of decentralization of administrative units for the convenience of the general public, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has announced the formation of four new districts in the state of Chhattisgarh on the occasion of 75th Independence Day today. These four new districts will be Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, Sakti, Mohla-Manpur and Manendragarh. Along with the formation of these new districts, the Chief Minister has also announced the formation of 18 more tehsils in the state of Chhattisgarh. Decentralization of administrative units will make it easier for the common man to access the government. This will save people time, labor and money. With the formation of new districts, administrative work will be tightened and the government work of the people will be done smoothly. It will be easy to connect the people of remote areas with the main stream of development and give them the benefits of government schemes.

With the formation of new districts, a new chain of development will start in these areas. With the rapid construction of infrastructure in the district headquarters and the establishment of all district level offices, people will get the benefits of government schemes and programs easily. There is facility in monitoring the work of government. Keeping in mind the public sentiments, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has approved the formation of four new districts. The formation of these four new districts is actually a great gift to the people of the area concerned. With the formation of a new district of Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, people of Sarangarh region will no longer have to go to Balodabazar for their work in Raigad and Bilaigarh, Sarsiwa region. Significantly, the distance of Sarangarh is about 55 kilometers from Raigarh and Bilaigarh, The distance of Sarsiwa zone is about 75-80 kms from Balodabazar. The distance of the village at the end of Bilaigarh and Sarsiwa zone is 100-125 km from the district headquarter. Reaching the district headquarters to the people of these areas is very difficult as well as costly and a waste of time. With the formation of a new district, it will be easier for people to travel to the district headquarters. Similarly, the distance of Mohla-Manpur is 100 kilometers from the district headquarter Rajnandgaon. Aundhi zone of Manpur is 125 km from Rajnandgaon. With the creation of Manpur-Mohla district, the people of this zone will no longer need to go to Rajnandgaon for administrative work. More or less similar facilities will be available to the people of Sakti zone and Manendragarh area. With the formation of a new district, basic facilities like health, education, roads will be further strengthened.
