Raipur, 11 August 2021. Director State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Shri D. Rahul Venkat said in the preliminary session of the three-day state-level workshop organized for the construction of the entrance hall today that keeping in mind the National Education Policy and the New India Literacy Program, the construction of the entrance has to be done. . Shri Venkat emphasized that the entrance should be very simple, medium of poetry etc. should be used in it. The Praveshika should be made according to the culture and environment of Chhattisgarh and should be readable as well as explain the basic literacy and mathematical skills in simple words in different ways, so that it can be learned in a normal way and meets the requirements of daily life. Director of SCERT, Mr. D. Rahul Venkat discussed with the participants in the workshop for the preparation of the entrance and sought suggestions that what the illiterates need ten years ago and now, what can be changed in the strategy of adult literacy. What you are teaching to adults should be useful in their daily life. For example, they should know about government schemes and fill bank deposits and withdrawal sleep. He told that the new entrance has to be constructed keeping in mind the need of the adult learners. To assess the need of adults, a survey was conducted in the name of Need Assessment for Adult, in which their needs have been assessed, it should also be included in the entry.
Additional Director of SCERT, Dr. Yogesh Shivhare said that the first workshop has been organized by the State Literacy Center Cell in SCERT for adult literacy. He said that a guide has to be created for adult literacy by working on the basis of 13 learning outcomes. The construction of Praveshika should be done by bypassing the past experiences so that the adult literate of the state can use it by doing practical work.
In order to develop understanding among the participants on the first day of the workshop, Shri Prashant Kumar Pandey, Assistant Director, SLMA, introduced the program and what is literacy? Why literacy is important, Mr. Sathyaraj Iyer explained the use of adult education and innovative activities in the national education policy, Mr. Sunil Mishra explained the difference between child psychology and psychology, Mr. Vikas Bhadauria, analysis of the survey report and Dr. Manish Vats the process of preparation discussed in detail. The workshop was organized by Smt. Preeti Singh of SCERT and Shri K.K. Sony also addressed.
