Raipur: Hareli ahead in Hamar village saying peace of mind: Hareli Tihar’s pomp in Chief Minister’s residence

Raipur. 8 August 2021. Hareli, the first festival of Chhattisgarh, was traditionally celebrated with great pomp at the Chief Minister’s residence in the capital Raipur. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, along with his wife Smt. Mukteshwari Baghel and other relatives, duly worshiped the rural deities, Tulsi Mata, Nangar, agricultural implements, gedi and Gaumata and prayed for a good harvest. He extended greetings and best wishes to the people of the entire state on the occasion of Hareli festival. In the fully decorated Chief Minister’s residence in a rural setting, the shade of Chhattisgarhi culture was visible all around Hareli. People present in the event enjoyed Chhattisgarhi folk music, folk dance, traditional Gadwa Baja, Raut dance, Gedi dance, games, raichuli and cuisines.

 

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel encouraged the folk dance artists by performing Gedi dance. The Chief Minister also tried his hand at Bumblebee and Gilli-Danda. He also enjoyed Rachuli with his daughter.
