Raipur: Urged Governor to include 12 caste communities of Chhattisgarh in the list of Scheduled Tribes

Raipur, 02 August 2021. A delegation led by Shri Phanindra Bhoi, the convener of Sarv Adivasi Adhikar Vanchit Sangharsh Samiti, Raipur, met Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan here today. The delegation informed that 12 caste communities of Chhattisgarh state could not be included in the list of Scheduled Tribes due to quantitative errors, due to which the tribal communities here are not getting constitutional rights. In this regard, the proposal sent by the Government of Chhattisgarh is pending at the level of Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. He urged the Governor to make efforts to resolve the same. Governor Ms. Uike assured the delegation of help in this regard.
It should be known that Bhariya Bhumiya of Chhattisgarh state is synonymous with Bhuyan, Bhuyan, Bhuyan, Dhanwar’s synonyms are Dhanuvar/Dhanuwar, Nagesia, Nagasia synonymous with Farmer, Dhangad, Savar, Sawara’s synonyms Saunra, Sanwara, Binjhiya, Kodaku’s synonyms for Devanagari conversion. As Kodaku, Kondh as well as the names of Kond, Bharia, without change in the English version, reformed in favor of Bharia, Pando, Pando/Pando, Gond and Gond, list of Scheduled Tribes without any change in the English version The proposal to include Gadba in the list of Scheduled Tribes by the Government of India was approved on 13 February 2019, but the bill for this has not yet been passed in the Parliament.
Shri Jaidev Bhoi, Shri P.L. Sidar, Mr. Yuvraj Rawal, Mr. Hemant Bhoi, Mr. Chintamani Bhoi, Mr. Bhuwal Singh Sidar, Mr. Anil Singh, Mr. Suresh Oraon, Mr. S.R. Pradhan, Shri Ajit Dehari and Shri Sangal Sai Nagesia were present on the occasion.
