Raipur, 20 July 2021. Under Chhattisgarh Compensatory Forest Planting, Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA), 41 lakh 68 thousand saplings are being planted in 4 thousand 391 hectare area during the current year by the Forest Department. It is worth mentioning that under the guidance of Forest and Climate Change Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar, this year around one crore saplings are being planted by the department under various schemes.
Out of this, planting of 11 lakh 10 thousand saplings is in progress in one thousand 232 hectare area under Bilaspur forest circle. Similarly, one lakh 80 thousand saplings are planted in 75 hectare area under forest circle fort, 7 lakh 56 thousand plants in 782 hectare area under forest circle Jagdalpur and 3 lakh 72 thousand plants in 494 hectare area under forest circle Kanker. . Apart from this, planting of 3 lakh 61 thousand saplings in 392 hectare area under forest circle Raipur and 13 lakh 88 thousand saplings in one thousand 416 hectare area under forest circle Surguja is in progress.
