Raipur: Minister in charge Dr. Tekam took the meeting of the DMF Governing Council

Raipur, 14 July 2021.   78 in the meeting of the Governing Council of the District Mineral Institute Trust held in the creation hall of Raigad Collectorate today under the chairmanship of Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam, Minister of Tribal and Scheduled Castes Development, Backward Classes and Minorities Development, School Education and Cooperation Department and the district in-charge. Various works worth more than Rs. Higher Education Minister Shri Umesh Patel was also present in the meeting.

Among the works approved during the meeting, mainly in Raigad district for the year 2021-22 in all Swami Atmanand schools, materials for library, laboratory, computer lab, smart class for schools, purchase of equipment for covid treatment and infrastructure development and oxygen pipeline. Expansion work, nutritional food to malnourished children and pregnant women under Chief Minister’s Nutrition Campaign, 5 MMU operation of Chief Minister Haat-Bazaar clinic, purchase of machines to test hemoglobin in pregnant women, Narva, Garwa, Ghurva, Bari, drinking water, urban Bodies, works like tussar silk yarn production, solar high mast plant, science center establishment are involved.

In the meeting, Minister Dr. Tekam said that the amount of DMF should be used prominently in works like malnutrition, health, livelihood promotion, education, Gauthan development. He expressed happiness over the rapid reduction in malnutrition rate in the district by about 10 percent this year under the Chief Minister’s Nutrition Campaign and appreciated the efforts of the district administration along with the collector. Similarly, expressing happiness over the excellent performance of the district in the vaccination campaign being run to protect against Kovid, he said to complete the vaccination of 100 percent people at the earliest. Minister Dr. Tekam inquired about Gothan operation and implementation of Godhan Nyay Yojana. He asked to prepare and sell locally consumed products in the Multi Activity Center set up in Gauthans. Instructions were given to work specifically towards the promotion of livelihood of the forest rights holders.

On this occasion, Collector Shri Bhim Singh presented the annual report of the financial year 2020-21 in front of the Governing Council. Similarly, the proposed works for the year 2021-22 were also placed before the council for approval, which was discussed point-wise. Collector Shri Singh informed that the amount of DMF is being utilized prominently in all the flagship schemes of the government along with the eradication of malnutrition, upgradation of health facilities in the district.

The meeting was attended by MLA Raigad Shri Prakash Nayak, MLA Lailunga Shri Chakradhar Singh Sidar, MLA Sarangarh Smt. North Ganpat Jangde, District Panchayat President Shri Nirakar Patel, Governing Council members Shri Arun Malakar, Shri Abhay Mahanti, Smt. Aradhana Patel, Shri Charan Singh Rathia, Mr. Ramanand Rathia, Mr. Omprakash Lahere, Mrs. Sulochana Devi Sidar, Mrs. Vidya Devi Sidar, Mrs. Nila Bai Rathia, Mr. Anurudh Singh Rathia, Collector Mr. Bhim Singh, Superintendent of Police Mr. Abhishek Meena, Municipal Commissioner Mr. S. Jayawardhan, CEO Zilla Panchayat Dr. Ravi Mittal, DFO Dharamjaygarh Shri Manivasgan S, DFO Raigad Shri Pranay Mishra and district officers of other departments were present.
