Raipur, 24 June 2021. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has given instructions to take immediate action to prevent hoarding of fertlizers and to ensure supply of urea and DAP fertilizers to the supplier companies as per the quota allotted to the state. Agriculture Department officials have been directed to inspect the stocks of wholesalers and retailers and to blacklist the ones found guilty of hoarding. Chief Minister has given instructions to immediately transfer the stock of urea and DAP fertilizers from wholesalers to the retailers.
In compliance to the Chief Minister’s instructions, Managing Director and Additional Director Agriculture of Cooperative Marketing Federation in Raipur took a joint meeting of the Fertilizer Suppliers, Wholesalers and Retailers on 23rd June. He instructed the supplier companies to ensure supply of remaining quantity of urea and DAP for the month of April to June by June 30 anyhow, as per the quota allotted to Chhattisgarh.
It was informed in the meeting that the total allocation of urea from April to June is 2,72,503 metric tonnes. Against the total order quantity of 3,11,203 MT, only 94,024 MT has been supplied till date, which is 34.50 percent of the total allocated quantity. Similarly the total allocated quota of DAP is 1,62,027 MT. Against the total order quantity of 2,10,354 MT, only 70,079 MT has been supplied till date, which is 43.25 percent of the total allocated quantity. It was also informed in the meeting that the allocated quantity of urea fertilizer for the month of June is 1,31,450 MT, against which 37,420 MT has been supplied by the suppliers. Against the allotted quantity of 80,000 MT of DAP, 23,268 MT has been supplied so far. The supplier companies were instructed to supply the remaining quantity compulsorily before June 30.
For Sarguja and Jagdalpur divisions, a total of 59,500 MT for urea and 41500 MT for DAP were allocated, against which 11,359 MT urea and 12,098 MT DAP have been supplied so far. M/s IFFCO, IPL, Kribhco, Coromandel, Chambal Fertilizer Company were directed to ensure the supply of the remaining quantity by bringing rakes at Vishrampur and Jagdalpur at the earliest.
58,650 MT of imported urea for the month of June for Chhattisgarh. Tonnes allocation has been given, out of which the quantity allotted to M/s IFFCO is 33,000 MT and for Kribhco is 10,000 MT. Till date no supply has been made by both the suppliers against the allotted imported urea. Both the suppliers were directed to supply 100% of the imported urea allotted by the Managing Director Markfed.
58,650 MT of imported urea has been allocated for Chhattisgarh for the month of June, out of which the quantity allocated for M/s IFFCO is 33,000 MT and for Kribhco is 10,000 MT. Till date none of the two suppliers have made any supply against the allotted imported urea. Managing Director Markfed has directed both the suppliers to supply 100% of the imported urea quota .
Additional Director Agriculture has directed Deputy Director Agriculture of all the districts to conduct regular inspection of the stock of urea, DAP and other fertilizers available with all the wholesalers and retailers. And in case the quantity found is more than the quantity reported by the retailers and wholesalers, the guilty should be subjected to strict action as per the rules. Instructions were also given to immediately transfer the fertilizer stock currently available with the wholesalers to the retailers, and make the retailers to sell the fertilizer stock available to the farmers at the earliest.
It was informed in the meeting that the difference between the actual wing and the wing displayed at present in the MFMS module is adversely affecting the fertilizer allocation of the state. This is also affecting the supply of urea and DAP. This is why physical inspection of the fertilizer wing should be ensured, and the wholesalers and distributors of the sold stock should enter the module immediately, so that the actually available stock and the inventory displayed in the module are identical.
Additional Director Agriculture clearly warned all the wholesalers and retailers that if they fail to follow the instructions by them is caught, they would be banned and blacklisted. Managing Director Marketing Association has directed that for the fertilizers being sold through the committees, the committees should ensure immediate entry of the same in POS immediately, in coordination with the Deputy Registrar.
