Raipur, 22 June 2021. Chhattisgarh has been included in the Golden Book of World Records for maximum registration in the Virtual Yoga Marathon organized on the seventh International Yoga Day. A total of 10 lakh 41 thousand 595 people had registered online for this from 28 districts in the state. On this achievement, Golden Book of World Records has awarded Certificate of Excellence to Social Welfare Department, Government of Chhattisgarh for ‘Most People Registered for a Virtual Yoga Marathon’. This evening, officers of the Social Welfare Department under the leadership of the Minister of Women, Child Development and Social Welfare, Mrs. Anila Bhendia, handed over this certificate to the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh after a courtesy meeting. Appreciating the awareness of the people of Chhattisgarh about Yoga, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel congratulated all the people of the state for this achievement.
It is noteworthy that from June 5 to June 20, online registration was done on the portal for the virtual yoga marathon. In which people from all the districts of the state participated enthusiastically and a total of 10 lakh 41 thousand 595 people from 28 districts registered for the virtual yoga marathon. On this occasion Secretary Social Welfare Department Smt. Reena Babasaheb Kangale, Director of Social Welfare Department Shri P Dayanand were also present.
