Raipur, 10 June 2021.Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel transferred an amount of Rs.3 crore 7 lakh 18 thousand to the accounts of Gauthan committees, self-help groups and dung vendors under Godhan Nyay Yojana through a virtual program organized at his residence office here today. The amount transferred includes a dividend of Rs. 2 crore 45 lakh to Gauthan committees and self-help groups. Under Godhan Nyay Yojna, so far, Rs 95 crore 94 lakh has been paid in lieu of cow dung purchased in Gauthans, which has benefited one lakh 68 thousand 531 livestock farmers and villagers. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel congratulated and congratulated all the people directly and indirectly involved in the implementation of this scheme for the success of Godhan Nyay Yojana in the state. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also launched the Godhan Super Compost mobile app.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that Godhan Nyay is one such scheme, which has many benefits. This scheme is proving beneficial for all sections and people of the society. Protection and promotion of livestock through Godhan Nyay Yojna, protection of crops and environment, income to villagers and livestock farmers from the sale of cow dung, employment and income to women self-help groups through the manufacture of vermi compost and super compost and other products and organic farming. Got encouragement. The Chief Minister said that the use of vermicompost and super compost manure is improving the quality and fertility of food grains and reducing the cost of cultivation, the benefits of which have started accruing to the farmers. The Chief Minister said that better results are being seen and heard of the use of vermi compost in agriculture. He said that people who want to run dairy business or do cow rearing, It has become easier for them now because of the Godhan Nyay Yojana, as they will get additional profit from the sale of cow dung. The Chief Minister directed to constitute and activate committees for the operation of all the Gauthans built in the state, so that its benefits could be availed. The Chief Minister said that the income of the villagers and the cattle rearers has increased due to the purchase of cow dung in the active Gauthans, which has made it easier for them to purchase the items useful in daily life.
On this occasion, Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey said that Godhan Nyay Yojana is being discussed all over the country. The Parliament Committee has recommended the Central Government to implement this scheme. He said that through this scheme, more than buying cow dung worth Rs 96 crore from cattle rearers and farmers, the important thing is that 80 thousand women belonging to self-help groups have got livelihood work. She is standing on her feet. Minister Shri Choubey said that at present only 5590 Gauthans are active, whereas approval has been given for construction of 9950 Gauthans. By making all the Gauthans active, the profit will increase further. At the beginning of the program, Agriculture Production Commissioner Dr. M. Geeta informed about the achievements of the scheme so far through power point presentation. He told that women self-help groups associated with Gauthans will be given income-oriented activities. 78 crore income has been received. Out of 3 lakh 6 thousand 770 quintal vermi compost produced in Gauthans, one lakh 44 thousand 320 quintal manure has been sold. Out of 5590 Gauthans in the state, 913 have become self-supporting.
