Raipur, 07 June 2021. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today gifted a virtual motorized tricycle to the differently abled girl of Gariaband district, Kumari Geeta. Through video conferencing organized at the Chief Minister’s residence office, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel interacted with the 11-year-old Geeta, a resident of village Chhidauli Kamarpara district Chhura, and on getting a motorized tricycle from the government for commuting to school. Geeta studying in class 6th was very happy to get this gift and she thanked Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for this. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel while talking to Geeta said that even if you do not have claws, you have not lost courage and have made it your own paw by using a glass of drinking water on both the feet. Even in adversity, you have not lost courage and on the strength of your courage, you have continued studies along with the daily life tasks like normal girls. I admire your courage.

In eight to ten days, the artificial claw of both the feet will come ready. Which will be planted at the feet of Geeta. Reena Babasaheb Kangale, Secretary, Social Welfare Department, who was present in the virtual program, told that Geeta was given a hand-powered tricycle by the department earlier, Which he gave to the needy other handicapped person. As per Geeta’s wish, she has been given a battery operated three wheel motorized cycle costing Rs 42 thousand today. A team of experts posted at Physical Referral Rehabilitation Center, Mana Camp, Raipur, visited the house of Kumari Geeta and measured her claws. Artificial claws are being prepared for Geeta, which cost one and a half lakh rupees. Due to which she will be able to do all kinds of work efficiently and stand on her feet.
