Raipur, 4 June 2021. The works of Jal Jeevan Mission are being completed by the Public Health Engineering Department in a timely manner with fast quality. In this episode, Director, Jal Jeevan Mission S. Prakash took a review meeting on the work of the mission of Jal Jeevan at the Circuit House of Balodabazar-Bhatapara district last day. He directed the Assistant Engineers to prepare DPRs of works like retrofitting, single village scheme etc. in their charge area and complete them by May 9 for their technical approval. Prakash directed all the SDOs to prepare one model plan each within a day and apprise them after getting approval from the Superintending Engineer. In the meeting, in the presence of Collector Balodabazar, after detailed discussion on the works of running water in schools and Anganwadis of the district, he directed the officials to complete all the works in the month of June and upload them online.
Mission Director S. Prakash inspected the tap connections being provided in the houses under the retrofitting scheme in village Harinbhata of Palari block and also observed the materials being used in the works. He had a detailed discussion with the village Sarpanch and the villagers and inquired about the progress and quality of work from them and the availability of running water in the school and Anganwadi. Prakash also inspected the works of Creda under construction in village Kauwadih. After this, Anicut site at village Hardi was also inspected. It is proposed to supply water to 8 villages near this anicut through Kharve Group Village Water Supply Scheme to be prepared at a cost of Rs 6.35 crore. He directed the officers that more villages should be included in this scheme. So that maximum number of villagers can get the benefit of this scheme. Chief Engineer T.G. Kosaria, Chief Engineer and Additional Mission Director A.K. Sahu, Chief Engineer Abhishek Bajpayee, Superintending Engineer and Executive Engineer were present.
