Raipur: Loan scale fixed for production of fruits and vegetables including Kharif-Rabi crops

  Raipur, 02 June 2021. With the aim of providing assistance to the farmers of the district to overcome the economic problems faced during crop production and to reduce the cost of the crop, the loan scale has been fixed for various crops. Farmers will be provided loans by the government for cultivating Kharif-Rabi crops, fruit trees, vegetables, spices and horticulture crops. The loans provided by the government for various crops for crop production will help the farmers. To provide loans to farmers, prepare and approve credit limit sheets in time and to provide timely financial assistance to farmers, all registrar cooperative institutions, state cooperative banks, rural development banks, agriculture departments, Instructions have been issued to cooperative registrar societies and all nationalized banks. Farmers will also get vermi compost produced in Gauthans on loan under Godhan Nyay Yojana along with loan for cultivating various crops. Vermi compost has been included in the credit scale prescribed under commodity loans through societies. Vermi compost will also be given as loan to the farmers at the rate fixed by the government.
    On the basis of repayment capacity for Kharif and Rabi crops, loans will be provided in the form of cash and agricultural related fertilizers, seeds and agricultural machinery materials. Out of the total loan fixed for the respective crops, 60 percent will be provided in the form of cash amount and 40 percent as material. Maximum limits have also been fixed for short term cash and commodity loans to farmers holding Kisan Credit Card. The maximum loan on Kisan Credit Card has been fixed at Rs.5 lakh. In this, the cash amount has been fixed for three lakh rupees and for the goods, two lakh rupees have been fixed.    
    A total loan of Rs 19 thousand 800 per acre has been fixed for farmers for irrigated paddy crops under Kharif year 2021-22. Similarly, Rs.14 thousand 400 per acre for unirrigated paddy, Rs.11 thousand per acre for tur and tur, Rs.13 thousand 200 for groundnut, Rs.3,000 for Kodo-Kutki, Rs.13 thousand 200 per acre for soybean. It has been determined. For rabi crops, a loan of eight thousand rupees has been fixed for irrigated wheat, six thousand rupees for unirrigated wheat, 19 thousand 200 for paddy summer, eight thousand rupees per acre for gram. For fruit crops, cashew of Rs 16 thousand, for jackfruit Rs 12 thousand, for banana Rs 60 thousand, for amla Rs 14 thousand 560 per acre loan has been fixed. Similarly, loan has been fixed for production of vegetables, spices, flowers and lac. Among the loans given to farmers for financial support in crop production include mango, guava, Loans will be given in cash and kind for horticulture crops like orange, plum etc. Farmers will be given loans for vegetables and vegetables on the basis of their repayment capacity.
