Raipur, 1 June 2021. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel virtual launched the new facility of the Transport Department ‘Tunhar Sarkar, Tuhar Dwar’ in a program organized at his residence office here today. Through this new facility, 22 transport services will be provided by the Transport Department to the people of the state by reaching them at their doorsteps. These services include transport services related to smart card based driving licenses and registration certificates. These services will be delivered to the home addresses of applicants and vehicle owners through speed post. Applicants have to apply on www.parivahan.gov.in to get the services . In this facility, voluntary ‘Aadhaar’ authentication will immediately provide transport services. With the launch of this service, Chhattisgarh has become the first state in the country where the Transport Department is integrating the services related to driving license and registration with Aadhaar.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said on the occasion that the work of making the lives of people in the state easier in the state is being done continuously by the present government. In this episode, the services of the Transport Department are being made more accessible to the general public by the state government. It is the thinking of the state government that the more easily the public facilities reach the people, the easier their life will be and the pace of development will be faster. Modern technology is being used to bring the services of governance to the people in tune with the times. The Department of Transportation has taken a commendable initiative to provide online services in times of Corona crisis. This will help prevent infection from congestion, At the same time, people will get freedom from making rounds of the transport office. He congratulated the people of the state and the officers and employees of the Transport Department on this occasion. During this, through video conferencing, Mr. Amar Parwani of Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Mr. Manish Raj Singhania of Auto Mobile Dealers Association, present in Raipur and Durg, took feedback about the new facility started by the Transport Department today. . He also appreciated the initiative taken by the Transport Department for providing online services.
Presiding over the program, Transport Minister Mohammad Akbar said that the Department of Transport has taken the initiative to reach 22 important services online to the people. This will bring more transparency and accountability in the working of the department. He said that with this facility people will no longer have to travel for transport related services and their time and money will be saved. Transport Minister Mr. Akbar said that with this new system implemented in the Transport Department, 22 types of transportation related services including driving license and registration certificate will be easily available to the applicant at their registered address right from home. The location of the postal sent from the speed post can also be tracked through the trekking system. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel and Transport Minister Mr. Akbar called the ‘Tunhar government, Under the ‘Tunhar Dwar’ facility, the driving license and registration certificate to be sent to the applicants by speed post, Senior Superintendent Post Office Raipur Division Shri B.L. Jangde and the Assistant Superintendent of Post Office Raipur, handed over to Shri JS Pardhi.
MP Shri Deepak Baij, Advisor to Chief Minister Rajesh Tiwari, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department Shri Subrata Sahu, Transport Commissioner Dr Kamal Preet Singh and Additional Transport Commissioner Deepanshu Kabra were present on the occasion.
In the new facility ‘Tunhar Sarkar, Tuhar Dwar’ launched by the Transport Department from today, 10 services related to license including duplicate license, driving license renewal and change of address and 12 services related to vehicles including ownership transfer and change of address will be provided at home. Registration of new vehicles, amendment of old vehicles to RCC, new driving license and change in old license after driving license and registration certificate (RC) available directly to registered address through Speed Post of India Post, in maximum 7 days. Will be done While dispatching these, SMS will also be sent to the given address of the applicants along with the tracking ID of Speed Post, so that the applicants can get information about the status. Even if the applicant is not available at home, the applicant will be informed for delivery via SMS.
The renewal of registration will be approved by the Registration Officer after the necessary examination of the documents by the Transport Office and necessary inspection of the vehicles as per the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act. For easy operation of this new system, helpline number 75808-08030 is being issued by the Transport Department. Through this helpline, applicants can get information regarding dispatch of smart card based driving license and registration certificate after approval to the transport offices. Similarly, online medical certificates will be issued for driving license. During the programme, officials of civil and transport departments from different districts of the state also joined the programme.
