According to the latest data released by the Center for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMI) on 24 May 2021, the unemployment rate in Chhattisgarh has been recorded at 3 percent, which is much lower than the national rate of 10.8 percent. Earlier in November 2020, the unemployment rate in Chhattisgarh was recorded at 3.5 percent.

 

According to the latest data released by the Center for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMI), the unemployment rate figures in Chhattisgarh are Haryana, Goa, Delhi, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh. , Uttarakhand, much less than in West Bengal, Kerala, Tripura.

 

It is worth mentioning that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, the work was sanctioned under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, following the guidelines of Corona on demand in less affected rural areas of the state. Forestry and tendu leaf collection is also being done in the forest areas. Along with the increase in the prices of micro-forest produce, the number of micro-forest produce purchased on support price has been increased from 07 to 52. In Chhattisgarh, more than three-fourth of the minor forest produce collected in the country, about 75 percent of the minor forest produce has been collected. According to TRIFED data, during the financial year 2020-21, minor forest produce of Rs 181 crore 25 lakhs has been purchased at minimum support price in the country till March 23, in which small forests of Rs 136 crore 63 lakhs have been purchased in Chhattisgarh. is. Similarly, more than two-thirds of the target of 11 lakh 44 thousand standard bags of Tendu Leaves has been collected in the state so far. Around 13 lakh families get employment in Tendu Leaves collection in the state. The rate of tendu leaf collection has been increased from Rs. 2500 thousand to Rs. 4000 thousand in the state.

 

Now as the rate of infection is declining, agriculture and allied activities will also start when the rains begin. 1500 crore has been paid to the farmers on 21 May as the first installment of the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyaya Yojana 2020-21. Livelihood related activities in Gothan gave a boost to the rural economy. Under the Godan Nyaya Yojana, various self-help activities are being conducted by women self-help groups, including the manufacture of compost manure. With limited number of mines and industries in Chhattisgarh, production work is going on following the Kovid-19 guideline. Arrangements for laborers have also been made in the industries.
