Raipar, 23 May 2021. Public Health Engineering and Village Industries Minister Guru Rudrakumar today held a virtual meeting of the Governing Council of the District Mineral Institute Trust Fund of the district Kanker under his charge. Minister Guru Rudrakumar said that as per the intention of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, special attention is being given to the expansion of health services in view of the possible third phase of Kovid-19 in the state. He instructed to appoint medical experts and subordinate staff, including necessary resources for the treatment of children in the district, and to keep all preparations to deal with the emergency. Before the arrival of the third phase, all the preparations for the treatment should be done and all the health facilities for the treatment of children should be further expanded.
Giving information about the measures being taken in the district for the control of corona, Collector Chandan Kumar said that 165 testing teams have been formed in the district for controlling Kovid-19. Two dedicated Kovid Hospitals have been set up at District Headquarters Kanker and Kovid Care Center has been set up in all the development blocks, where oxygen beds, HDO beds, ICU and common beds have been arranged. Currently most of the beds are empty. There has been a steady decrease in Corona episodes compared to earlier. Giving information about vaccination, he said that the vaccination work of people in the age group of 18 to 44 years has increased in the district. So far, 16 thousand 84 persons have been vaccinated and the first dose has been vaccinated by 93 percent of the people aged 45 years and above and the second dose has been vaccinated by 14 percent of the people.
During the virtual meeting, Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Shri Manoj Mandavi, MP Shri Mohan Mandavi, Parliamentary Secretary and MLA of Kanker Assembly Constituency Shri Shishupal Shorey, MLA from Antagarh Assembly Constituency Shri Anoop Nag and District Panchayat President Shri Hemant Dhruv gave development works and Kovid- 19 gave his suggestions for control and appreciated the efforts being made by the district administration Kanker for the control of corona. According to the guidelines of the Mineral Institute Trust Fund, it was proposed to spend maximum amount of funds on the areas of high priority, health, education and nutrition. On which Minister Guru Rudrakumar announced to give Rs. 50 lakhs to the local MLAs of the district for the other necessary development works with the amount of DMF funds.
In this virtual meeting, Dr. Sanjay Kannauje, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Panchayat, Additional Collector S.P. Vaidya, Chief Medical and Health Officer, Dr. J.L. Deputy Commissioner of Uike and Tribal Development Department Makhan Singh Dhruv was also present.
