The farmer-friendly head of the state, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, has put a smile on the faces of the farmers even in the critical situation of the global epidemic corona. According to the promise, the first installment of Rs 52 crore 70 lakh to farmers of the district has been put through DBT in the farmers’ accounts under the scheme today with an input subsidy of Rs 9000 per acre. With this, 71 thousand 623 farmers of Gariaband district will get a total of Rs 194 crore 11 lakh input subsidy. In the district, in the year 2020-21 Kharif season, 32 lakh 35 thousand 318 quintal paddy was purchased, with the first installment of Rs 9000 per acre, transferred to the accounts of farmers Rs 52 crore 70 lakh.
The Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana was launched last year by the Government of Chhattisgarh taking a far-reaching decision to encourage crop production in the state and to provide the farmers with the right price for their produce. The scheme was formally launched in the state through video conferencing on 21 May last year by Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel on the death anniversary of former Prime Minister of India Bharat Ratna late Shri Rajiv Gandhi. This year Member of Parliament Smt. Sonia Gandhi and Rajya Sabha Member Shri P.L. Punia has congratulated and congratulated the farmers of the state. On this occasion, a pledge was also taken to strongly oppose terrorism and violence.

Collector Mr. Nilesh Kshirsagar informed that the first installment of the amount of paddy purchased through 38 cooperative societies of the District Cooperative Central Bank was released at the rate of one acre per acre. Under this, 14 thousand 11 farmers received a total of Rs 10 crore 15 lakh 57 thousand as the first installment under the Gariaband branch. Similarly, Rs. 6 crore 55 lakh to 10243 farmers of Fingeshwar branch, Rs. 5 crore 9 lakh to 8653 farmers of Rajim branch, Rs. 4 crore 85 lakh to 7983 farmers of Kopra branch, Rs. 5 crore 8 lakh to 6490 farmers of Chhaura branch, Rs. 3 crore 84 lakh to 4770 farmers of Khadma branch, Rs. 2 crore 9 lakh to 2780 farmers of Mainpur branch, 9223 farmers of Gohrapadar branch will get Rs 8 crore 73 lakh and 7460 farmers of Devbhog branch will get Rs 6 crore 29 lakh in the first installment. He has given necessary instructions in this regard to the Nodal Officer of the District Cooperative Society. Along with this, an amount of Rs 1 lakh 44 thousand 970 was transferred online to 21 Gothan Samitis and women self-help groups in lieu of cow dung purchase from March 15 to May 15 to the cattle rearers of the district under the Godhan Nyaya Yojana.
