Raipur, 20 May 2021. Former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna late Shri Rajiv Gandhi’s death anniversary on 21 May, under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyaya Yojana by the Government of Chhattisgarh, as the first installment of Kharif season 2020-21, 22 million farmers of the state were given agricultural input assistance of Rs 1500 crore (input Subsidy) will be provided. In addition, under the Godan Nyaya Yojana, about 72 thousand cattle herders will be transferred online for purchase of cow dung and Rs 3.6 crore will be transferred online to Gowthan committees and women self-help groups. The event will be organized in the presence of MP Mrs Sonia Gandhi and MP Mr Rahul Gandhi through video conferencing.
The Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, along with the members of his cabinet, will first lay a wreath on the oil painting of the late Shri Rajiv Gandhi in the program organized at his residence office on May 21 at 12 noon, after which the first of 22 lakh farmers of the state will be given agricultural inputs. 1500 crores as installment, will transfer online the amount of cow dung purchased from cattle herders from March 15 to May 7. 7.17 crores in the accounts of farmers and from March 15 to May 15. It is worth mentioning that the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana has been launched by the Government of Chhattisgarh on the occasion of the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna late Shri Rajiv Gandhi on 21 May 2020 with an aim to encourage crop productivity in the state. Under this scheme, about 19 lakh farmers registered in the Kharif season 2019-20 have been given an exchange of Rs. 5628 crores as agricultural input assistance. In four installments, this amount has been transferred to the bank account of the farmers by the Government of Chhattisgarh.
In the important meeting held on 19 May under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, the Government of Chhattisgarh has taken several important decisions in the interest of farmers. In which input subsidy will be given at the rate of Rs 9,000 per acre on the paddy purchased from farmers in the Kharif year 2020-21. In the coming rains also, input subsidy will be given at the rate of 9 thousand rupees per acre per year to the paddy producing farmers in the kharif season.
Similarly, the government has also decided that in the year 2020-21, the farmers who sold paddy at the support price, if it is kodo kutki, sugarcane, pigeonpea, maize, soybean, pulses, oilseeds, aromatic paddy, in lieu of paddy, If others produce fortified paddy crop or plant trees, it will be given an input subsidy of Rs 10,000 instead of Rs 9,000 per acre. Planters will get this grant for 3 years. The state government has taken another important decision. Under which, in the Kharif year 2021-22, along with paddy, input subsidy will be given at the rate of Rs 9000 per acre per year to the growers of all major kharif crops like maize, soybean, sugarcane, kodo kutki and arhar. The Chhattisgarh government has fixed the minimum support price of Kodo-Kutki at Rs 3,000 per quintal.
On May 21, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will transfer the amount of Rs. 7 crore 17 lakhs directly to his account in the state of Chhattisgarh Government under the multi-pronged cowherd justice scheme from March 15 to May 15 to about 72,000 cattle herders and villagers of the state. . It is worth mentioning here that under the Godhan Nyaya Yojana, which started on the day of Hareli festival, July 20, 2020, a total of Rs 88 crore 15 lakhs have been paid to the cattle rearers and villagers of the state. Along with this, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel Gauthan will also transfer a sum of Rs 3.6 crore to the committees and women self-help groups.
