Raipur: Ensure all necessary preparations in view of the third wave of Corona infection: Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu

Raipur, 18 May 2021. Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu today made a virtual review of the updated status of prevention of Kovid infection and help to the needy in Bilaspur and Gariaband in charge district from his Raipur residence office. He directed the senior officers of the district administration and police administration to take all possible measures to deal with the corona epidemic and to make people aware to avoid infection and ensure strict adherence to the corona guideline.

The Home Minister said that the possibility of a third wave of corona infection is being expressed by experts. Keeping this in mind, he directed the officers to make health facilities more robust in the district and ensure all necessary preparations for its prevention. He said that at the district headquarters and section headquarters as well as primary health center level, arrangements for treatment of Kovid infectives and oxygen concentrators should be ensured. He asked Mitanins to provide pulse oximeters as much as possible with the medicine kit, so that he could check the oxygen levels of patients with corona symptoms during the visit.

The Home Minister also directed to identify the area most prone to infection, adequate arrangements for necessary medicines, injections and ambulances, training of doctors, specialists and medical staff. He instructed pediatricians to formulate a strategy and constantly monitor private hospitals and medical shops. The Home Minister said that complaints of non-availability of certain medicines and black marketing during corona infection are being heard. He directed the officials to ensure availability of medicines at prescribed rates to the patients and to take strict action against those involved in its black marketing. The Home Minister asked for the treatment of Post Kovid potentials and to make a Post Kovid Cell for the Council and make arrangements for telephone there. He also asked Corona to provide as much help as possible to the dependents of the deceased person.

The Home Minister directed to strictly follow the Kovid-19 protocol for the prevention of corona infection and to provide basic facilities at the gram panchayat level. He directed vaccination for prevention of corona infection as well as public awareness for positive thinking. The virtual meeting was attended by the Collector, Superintendent of Police, Chief Medical and Health Officer and senior officials of various departments.
