Raipur, 16 May 2021. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has said that Janjgir-Champa district will become a district in the area of health facilities and healthcare in the coming time. For this, there will be no shortage of resources from the level of state governance. The district administration will prepare an action plan for the expansion of health services in the district and this action plan will be approved at the government level. He said that it will be the effort of the state government that the people of Janjgir-Champa district do not have to go out for treatment. The Chief Minister inaugurated 7 new Kovid Care Centers for Kovid-19 management in Janjgir-Champa district in a program organized through video conferencing at his residence office here today. A total of 508 beds are available in these centers. There are 214 oxygen beds and 294 normal beds.

Singhdeo, Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria, MP Shri Guhram Ajgale, MLAs Shri Ramkumar Yadav, Shri Narayan Chandel and Smt. Indu Banjare, along with State Goseva Commission Chairman Mahant Shri Ramsundar Das were involved in many public representative video conferencing. Assembly Speaker Dr. Mahant had stated in the program the need for expansion of health facilities in Janjgir-Champa district.
Addressing the program, the Chief Minister said that he faced the challenges of Corona with courage in Janjgir-Champa district. Which has succeeded in controlling the corona. Everyone from industries to religious institutions fought this battle shoulder to shoulder and presented a unique example of solidarity. As a result of this, resources for the treatment of corona in the district have been expanded rapidly. 13 Oxygen concentrators have been received from Chandrahasini Trust Chandrapur, 07 from Dudhadhari Math Shivrinarayan and 66 from other institutions. In Chhattisgarh too, improved strategy has succeeded to a great extent in controlling the infection of corona. The rate of infection is continuously decreasing in the state. On May 15, the infection rate has come down from 30 to just 11 percent. Testing facilities are also being continuously expanded in the state. Previously, where 30 to 40 thousand tests were done daily, The same now 70 thousand tests are being done every day. There is no shortage of oxygen, medicines and beds in the state. The Chief Minister said that the country and the state are now facing the second wave of Kovid-19. We have to be prepared to face the challenge of the third wave successfully. For this, we will have to mobilize from now, ICU beds, city scan facilities, ventilators and medical specialists will be needed. Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Dr. Charandas Mahant said on the occasion that the arrangements implemented under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel to face the Corona crisis in Chhattisgarh are being appreciated all over the country. He stressed the need to take care of the problems of the poor and provide relief to them during the lockdown. Dr. Mahanta stated the need to set up virology lab in the district, increase testing, arrange funds to increase resources in covid care centers and to entertain people in the centers. Health Minister Shri T.S. Singhadev has set up private sector, to increase facilities in Covid Care Centers. Thanked for the cooperation made by public representatives. Collector of Janjgir-Champa district Mr. Yashwant Kumar gave detailed information about the health facilities available in the district. He informed that 248 oxygen cylinders have been received from the district’s industrial institutes and 92 with public support. Oxygen concentrators have been received from 100 CSR items and 150 from DMF items and 86 from other institutions. 18 ventilators are being arranged from DMF.
Among the new Kovid Hospitals launched by the Chief Minister in Janjgir-Champa district, Kovid Care Center Madwa has a total of 100 beds, out of which 70 are oxygen beds, similarly Kovid Care Center Pamgarh has 50 beds of oxygen beds in 150 beds, Kovid Care Center Police Line 8 Oxygen beds in total 18 beds available in Janjgir, 50 beds in 150 beds available in Kovid Care Center Kulipota with 50 beds Oxygen beds, 5 beds Oxygen Beds in 50 beds available in Kovid Care Center PIL, Kovid Care Center of Nawagarh All 10 beds are oxygen beds and 21 oxygen beds out of 30 beds available in Kovid Care Center District Hospital Janjgir.
