Raipur, May 13, 2021. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel interacted with the nurses of the state today through video conferencing, from his residence office in Raipur. Chief Minister extended hearty wishes and greetings to them on the occasion of International Nurses Day. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel lauded the hardwork, dedication and worth ethics of the nurse sisters, who serve the patients day and night, round the clock, during this time of COVID crisis. Chief Minister said that the courage and compassion with which you have served humanity under these challenging circumstances is simply commendable. Chief Minister said that although many nurse sisters and their family members were infected, some even lost their family members, but despite all odds they continued to serve the patients in some way or the other. This is a live example of excellent service and dedication.
In the online interaction with nurses held today, Chief Minister heard the experiences of the nurses on the field. Chief Minister was in tears after listening to the experience of Mrs. Varsha Gondane, nurse at Community Health Centre Palari in Balodabazar, who has lost her family members to the pandemic but continued to serve despite her personal tragedy. She told that her mother in law and sister in law passed away due to COVID infection. She and her two children were infected too but now they have recovered completely. Chief Minister consoled Mrs. Varsha Gondane and praised her dedication and work ethics. Chief Minister said that no words are enough to appreciate the way she fulfilled her duties and responsibilities despite her personal loss.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel congratulated the nurse sisters– Anjali Kerketta of Korba, Ritu Sahu of Kanker, Archana Valmiki, Amari Janghel of Rajnandgaon Salhewara, Anita Lakra of Ambikapur Medical College, Pratibha Das of Raigarh Binskot, for their outstanding service and extended best wishes to them. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that I salute all the nurse sisters of the state for their service. He said that the doctor is often called God incarnate, but our nurse sisters have been no less than ‘goddesses’ during this time of crisis. Referring to the first and second wave of corona, Mr. Baghel said that the third wave of infection has also been predicted by the experts, for which we need to be prepared. Mr. Baghel advised the nurses to keep themselved safe while serving the patients.
