At the same time, one soldier has been martyred. Two STF soldiers have also been injured during the encounter. The injured soldiers have been brought to Raipur by air ambulance. Both are undergoing treatment here. On the killing of 8 Naxalites in the encounter, CM Vishnu Dev Sai said, ever since our government has come to power here, we are fighting Naxalism strongly. We are getting double the benefit of this due to the formation of a double engine government. Many Naxalites are also being arrested. Even today 8 Naxalites have been killed. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai had given instructions for proper treatment of the soldiers injured in the encounter. Injured soldiers Kailash Netam and Lekh Ram Netam are being treated at Ramakrishna Hospital. Narayanpur SP Prabhat Kumar said that the DRG team of Kondagaon, Narayanpur, Kanker, Dantewada and the STF team of 2 districts had launched an operation in the hardcore Naxalite area in Narayanpur district along with ITBP and BSF soldiers deployed there. The operation was launched 2 days ago. Intermittent encounters were going on with the Naxalites in the forests of Abujhmad. Meanwhile, we have killed 8 uniformed Maoists in an encounter this morning.
The SP said, 1 STF jawan has been martyred along with the Naxalites during the encounter. At the same time, two jawans have been injured by bullets, who have been airlifted from the spot and referred to Raipur. The Abujhmad area of Narayanpur district is spread over 4000 square kilometers. This area is considered to be the permanent hideout of the Maoists. This area is also considered to be very hardcore from the geographical point of view. In these areas, the security force personnel have disturbed the sleep of the Naxalites with continuous anti-Naxal operations. For the past several months, similar anti-Naxal operations have been carried out in various areas of Abujhmad to drive away the Naxalites.
