NTPC Nava Raipur celebrated 77th Independence Day on 15th August 2023 with patriotic fervor. The flag was hoisted by the chief guest Shri C Shivakumar Regional Executive Director (WR.II USSC & Ash NI NTPC) in a function organized at his office premises.
Addressing the gathering, Shri C Shivakumar spoke on the importance of Independence Day and contribution of NTPC in the development of the country. He also highlighted NTPC’s focus on renewable energy and the opportunities and challenges ahead.
He also appreciated the Western Zone-II stations for their outstanding achievements in plant performance, project execution, achievement in commercial sector, new initiatives and receiving awards and recognition.
Apart from this, the chief guest spoke on the achievements in the areas of USSC (Unified Shared Services Center), Operation Services, Commercial Station, Engineering, Security, Ash New Initiative etc. He is from the western region. I also talked about the contribution of Arpita Mahila Samiti in the discharge of CSR activities and social responsibility.
On this occasion, two water cooler-cum-purifiers were distributed to Government Higher Secondary School Mathpurena (Raipur) under NTPC.CSR in collaboration with Arpita Mahila Samiti.
The main attraction of the program was the cultural program organized by Arpita Mahila Samiti in which children participated in large numbers.
Appreciation awards were also distributed to 26 employees on the occasion for their outstanding performance.
The chief guest also inaugurated the knowledge sharing platform through Quality Bytes.
Later as part of Meri Mati Mera Desh program all the employees performed Vasudha Vandan near the office premises. Participated in mass tree plantation programme.
