483.85 crores reached the bank accounts of 23.59 lakh farmers of Chhattisgarh, PM Modi said- Farmers of India should produce various products

Raipur. In a virtual program organized in Varanasi today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi transferred Rs 483.85 crore to the bank accounts of more than 23.59 lakh farmers of Chhattisgarh through DBT under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. On this occasion, he said that the farmers of India should produce various agricultural products. There should be some food product of Indian food on the dining table of every house in the world, only then the farmers of this country can be called advanced farmers.

Addressing the virtual program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that steps will be taken in future to further increase agricultural exports. Farmers should move forward for natural farming. The government is continuously making positive efforts to increase the respect of farmers and double the income. Farmers, laborers, Nari-Shakti and the poor are the strong pillars of India. He said that the role of women in giving a new direction to farming cannot be denied. Women’s groups from all over the country will be linked to it to give a new strength to farming as Krishi Sakhi. He said that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, new houses have been approved for more than 3 crore families of the country. In the coming days, these families will start getting its benefits. Similarly, under the ‘Namo Drone Didi Yojana’, an initiative has been started to make 3 crore women of the country crorepati didis. It is worth noting that Prime Minister Modi released the 17th installment today under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. Under this scheme, Rs 20 thousand crore was transferred directly to the bank accounts of more than 9 crore 26 lakh beneficiary farmers of the country.

Farmers in the state are now moving towards organic farming: Brijmohan Agarwal

State School Education Minister Brijmohan Agrawal said that Indira Gandhi Agricultural University is working to promote agriculture and farmers in Chhattisgarh. Farmers in the state are now moving towards organic farming. Organic farming will not only improve health but will also increase the fertility of the soil. Farmers should now grow not only paddy but also crops like pulses, oilseeds, fruits, flowers, horticulture, animal husbandry, fisheries etc. which give income throughout the year. A one-day organic farmers’ conference was organized under the joint aegis of the Department of Agriculture, Indira Gandhi Agricultural University and Krishi Vigyan Kendra.
