Voluntary blood donation camp successfully organized
Gariaband 15 June 2024: On the occasion of “World Blood Donor Day” on 14 June 2024, the District Health Committee, District Gariaband successfully organized a voluntary blood donation camp and blood donor felicitation ceremony at the District Hospital Gariaband. The main objective of the voluntary blood donation camp is to emphasize on regular voluntary blood donation by eligible blood donors to facilitate blood collection in the district and to meet the needs of the needy. In this blood donation camp, a total of 40 blood donors donated blood and made the camp meaningful. Along with this, 80 blood donors who donated the most blood in the district and the workers of the voluntary organizations of the operating blood donor group were honored by giving a certificate on World Blood Donor Day. In the said event, Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Gargi Yadu Pal said that blood donation is a great donation, everyone should participate in this noble work, and the blood donor group operating in the district was encouraged to donate blood and Dr. A.K. We, the District Nodal Officer, by donating blood ourselves told that the lives of needy people can be saved by the blood obtained through blood donation, therefore people should be encouraged to donate blood in maximum numbers. Dr. M.K. Hela Civil Surgeon, Dr. Vipin Bihari Agarwal Pathologist, Dr. Harish Chauhan, RMO expressed their gratitude to all the blood donors and gave appreciation letters to all the blood donors and asked them to encourage other people to donate blood.
