Food Lab facility for packaging materials

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has started Mahatma Gandhi Industrial Park (RIPA) to make the village economically viable. Women of self-help groups are today writing new success stories by joining various livelihood-oriented activities and to make their dreams come true, Chhattisgarh government has also given facility of C-Mart to sell women’s items. So far, the women of the self-help group have sold goods worth more than Rs 2 crore 40 lakh from the C-Mart in Jashpur. The administration has made available the facility of food lab for packaging the product materials in Gauthan.
In Pathalgaon development block, Bahnatangar Gauthan is doing the work of pole construction, mustard oil production, community farm, chicken hatchery, murra production, tomato ketchup in a better way. The women of the group have earned a net income of Rs 4 lakh 20 thousand from the construction of 6 thousand poles. Women are earning additional income from community farm and goat rearing. The work of making Murra is also being done by them.
The women of Pooja self-help group are doing mustard oil crushing work under RIPA. The administration has also given them the facility of machine. Due to the purity of the oil, its demand remains constant in the local people and other shops as well. Tomato, okra, barbatti, bottle gourd, green chillies and other vegetables are being grown in green vegetables by Shakti self-help women from the community garden. Greens and vegetables are easily sold in the local haat market. Due to good income, women are also doing it with interest. The work of chicken hatchery is being done by Jai Mata self-help group for production of chicks from eggs. Chicken chicks are also sent to other Gothans as per the demand.
Women of Sanskar self-help group are doing the work of making tomato ketchup. Similarly, the women of Rani Self-Help Group of village Rajouti (Bagiya) Gauthan of Kasabel development block are cultivating turmeric and spices. Women have so far earned good income from spice production. The products made by the women are sold at C-mart as well as in school ashram hostel, local haat market, district level and state level exhibition. Women are getting good income from this.
