Farmers of Jashpur district expressed gratitude on the historic decision

There was a wave of happiness among the farmers on increasing the limit of paddy purchase on the support price. Farmers of Jashpur district have termed increasing the paddy purchase limit from 15 quintals to 20 quintals as a historic step. The farmers have expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel for this decision.
Mr. Ashutosh Prasad Sai, Mr. Chhatrapal Singh and Mr. Khrisht Juwel Bada, farmers of Arrah Gram Panchayat of Jashpur development block, have called it a farmer-friendly decision, which will have far-reaching consequences. Farmer Mr. Ashutosh Prasad said that Chhattisgarh government is really a farmer friendly government. Farmers have been strengthened by loan waiver, purchase of paddy at support price, payment of amount in bank account under Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. He told that he has 23 acres of land. In the last Kharif year, he has sold about 300 quintals of paddy in the committee. Beneficiary told that earlier paddy was bought in committees at the rate of only 15 quintals per acre, farmers used to have a lot of paddy left, which was forced to sell to traders. With the new decision, 20 quintal paddy per acre will be purchased from the farmers, this will provide a lot of convenience to the farmers as well as they will be able to sell more paddy.
Similarly, Chhatrapal Singh, a farmer of Sakardega Panchayat, while praising the decision of the Chief Minister, said that the Chief Minister knows and understands the problems of the farmers deeply. That’s why he is running many welfare schemes for the welfare of the farmers. Along with the formation of the government, a big relief was given to the farmers by waiving off their loans. Thereafter, by purchasing paddy on the support price, the farmers were given the real value of their produce. Along with this, farmers are getting more benefits by purchasing crops like Kodo, Kutki, Ragi on support price. With the purchase of paddy at 20 quintals per acre, now all the farmers will surely get more benefits.
Farmer Khrisht Juwel Bada said that farmers are the backbone of the state’s economy. For this, the state government is working seriously for the interests of the farmers. Making farmers financially strong through public welfare schemes. All farmers, big and small, will be benefited by increasing the limit of paddy purchase on support price. Farmers’ income will increase, their economic and social development will happen.
