Electricity failure at polling booth in Surajpur for two and a half hours
There was no light for about two and a half hours at Kedo polling station in Surajpur district of Surguja Lok Sabha seat. The booth became dark due to sudden switching off of lights in the afternoon. After this, the polling officers continued to conduct voting in the light of mobile torch. At the same time, EVMs also got damaged in many booths on all seven seats, which were replaced. Due to this polling remained halted.
Rain with strong thunderstorm in Raipur, Surguja, Bilaspur, Durg, Korba
Amidst the voting, there was heavy rain with strong thunderstorm in Surguja, Raipur, Durg, Bilaspur and Korba Lok Sabha constituencies. This has given relief to people from the heat, but voting has been affected. There was no difference in voting in the last hour in Bilaspur, Raipur and Korba.
Due to storm and rain, pandals collapsed and posters and banners flew at many places in Korba, Bilaspur and Raipur. Due to this sudden change in the weather, party workers from many places also left the pandal and ran away.

Shri Ram Lalla’s picture was installed in all the BJP pandals in Vaishali Nagar area of Durg Lok Sabha. In these pandals set up near the polling station, the workers started their work with morning prayers. It is written on the picture, ‘They have brought Ramlala, we will bring him.’ Congress raised objection regarding this also.

At the same time, a cobra came out in the polling booth set up in Ganjhiyadih Secondary School, Gram Panchayat of Farsabahar development block of Jashpur district of Raigarh Lok Sabha. After this the voting stopped. On receiving the information, Mayank Sharma of Kotba arrived and after a lot of struggle, locked him in the compartment of Cobra. He was rescued and left safe in the forests of Ambakchar.
