Raipur. The number of deaths in Kawardha road accident has increased to 18. CM Vishnudev Sai, Deputy CM Vijay Sharma, Arun Sao, State Congress President Deepak Baij have expressed grief over the death of villagers in the accident. Also wished for speedy recovery of the injured.
CM Sai tweeted and said, sad news is being received about the death and injuries of villagers due to pickup overturning near Bahpani village of Kukdur police station area of Kabirdham district. Necessary instructions have been given to the district administration for better treatment of the injured. I pray to God for peace of the departed souls and express my deep condolences to their family. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Former CM and Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh has expressed grief over the road accident in Kawardha. Vijay Sharma tweeted and said, the news of death of 17 people due to overturning of a pickup vehicle loaded with laborers in Kawardha is extremely painful. My condolences are with all the families who have lost their loved ones in this accident. Along with this, I wish speedy recovery of all the injured. Sharma said, under the supervision of the state government, the local administration is engaged in providing all possible assistance to the victims and their families.
On the Kawardha accident, Deputy CM Arun Sao tweeted and said, information about a very painful accident has been received from Kawardha district. Information has been received that 15 people died after a pickup vehicle overturned in Kukdur police station area of Kawardha district. Everyone was returning home from the forest after plucking tendu leaves. I pray to God for the peace of the departed souls.
Former CM Bhupesh Baghel tweeted and said, the news of the road accident involving the pickup van of tendu leaf collectors in village Bahpali of Kukdur police station area of Kabirdham district is painful. I pray for the peace of the souls of the 18 workers and Baiga tribals who died untimely in the accident and speedy recovery of the injured. Government should give compensation to the families of the deceased without any delay: Baij
On the death of workers in Kawardha accident, PCC President Deepak Baij paid tribute to all the deceased and demanded compensation. He tweeted and said, the news of the tragic death of 15 laborers returning after plucking tendu leaves in Pandariya in a road accident is disturbing. Humble tribute to all the deceased. There is information that some workers have also been injured in this accident.
I urge the administration to make proper arrangements for the treatment of the injured. The government should give compensation to the families of the deceased without any delay.
